I love yard sales and flea markets, where you can buy stuff you don't need for a buck. Now, I am not one of these people that gets up super early to go.You know the ones, that are waiting on you when your setting up your own yard sale asking for cookie jars and Tupperware? I don't need anyone's used crap that bad! But I will try to get out there by 9 or 10 when ever the mood hits me to go, which is usually about every other month. Me and my youngest went today, and couldn't find a single yard sale! Well we did see one but it looked liked all clothes, BORING! so we drove around, followed a few signs that ended up being from LAST week end. ( should have gone then!) Come on people! remove your signs when your yard sale is over or at least put a date on there.
So we head to the flea market instead. We get there and it starts to rain. Thats cool, rain wont kill us. But having everyone run for cover under the same stall might! Why do people run from he rain? They are all like " omg! its liquid falling from the sky! it might be acid RUN!!!!" I have been to a water park, a water park now, and it starts to rain and people run for cover, HELLO! your at a water park, your already wet! I can understand if your going somewhere special and you don't want to mess up your clothes but in that case , watch the weather and be prepared. Carry an umbrella , anyway...
So people are all screaming and running for cover ,in the mean time the people that are selling stuff out in the rain are covering their wares with tarp or either just letting it get wet , they don't care, if they did care about their stuff they wouldn't be selling it right? I figure since its raining we might get a good deal and we did! My son has been wanting a keyboard and this lady had a nice one , with a stand. I ask her how much , she says she 30 but will take 10 . I ask if it works , she of course says yes. I love taking a chance that something will work or not, I am pretty good at fixing things so I figure if it doesn't work I can tinker with it, and if all else fails, I am just out 10 bucks. My 9 year old is happy as can be and all the way home hes saying " I hope it works I hope it works!" I do too, we where planning on buying him one for his birthday next month so this will save some money. We get home, put the batteries in and flip the switch, a red light comes on, good sign. I mash a key... no sound. ah man!! this sucks! wait! maybe the volume needs to be turned up , duh! I do this and bingo! we have music! YEAH!!!
Now if I could just get the old ninetendo to work I will have something to do on this rainy day.
i love flea markets and yard sales. rain or shine, no matter to me. :) glad you had a content sunday. ~
