You never relize just how much you need running water until yours is gone for a few hours. I was cleaning and wanted something to drink, so I headed over to the magical refrigerated to get water from the door, I have had this fridge for 7 or so years but still think it is amazing to get ice and water right from a door! I got the ice, then went to the water, nothing came out, I tried again still nothing, great now this is broke! We seem to be going threw appliances like paper plates so it didnt surprise me this was now broke. So I head to the sink, no water there either. Great! Come to find out , the water had been shut off due to a mix up with the bill. The mix up being my husband forgot to pay it, again! he has done this at least 4 times . And this water company does not play , if it is due on the first you best pay it on the first, or else on the second it will be cut off, no past due notice, no call, nothing!
So , I am deciding , do I wake him up ( he works the 3rd shift) and ask him if he paid the bill, maybe it isnt late , maybe something is wrong, or do I let him sleep and when he wakes up he can see what its like to not have water for a shower or anything, maybe then he will pay it on time. I decide it is time to teach him a lesson. But now I am stuck with no water, every kid in the house now has to use the bathroom , and I aint talking about peeing, we cant flush the toilets. I also need to cook dinner, and you cant make rice or potatoes without water. I use the last bit of water we had in a jug to get dinner started, and go in there and wake him up. enough is enough. I am sweaty and thirsty , nothing here to drink, cant make tea or kool aid, He isnt being taught a lesson, I am, to start paying the water bill instead of letting him let it sit there ! I have to wait about an hour and a half for the water to be turned back on and when it is , I am doing a happy dance for running water!! I run and flush all the toilets , get me a big glass of nice cold water from he magic door and fill up two jugs in case we forget again next month.
not 'we' forget, 'he' forgets. maybe you need to take care of that matter, so it doesn't happen again? glad it is all on and things are in order again. 'tis a sickenin' feelin' to go for the tap and it is dry, been there, only it was back when we were on a well, and there just was none. now THAT is a sickenin' feelin' make tonight GREAT~
