Goats, shopping ,and showing up late

I try not to hate , but there are just somethings that really get my goat! ( I wonder how that phrase came to be?? Will have to look that up later) anyway.. Today I was told that someone will be here at my house between 8 and 9 am. so I wait.....and wait....
My 18 year old son has been bugging me to go shopping, we did not go yesterday because I had  a headache, so I felt bad and wanted to take him today, besides, when will I ever get the chance to go shopping with my son ? Heck, I didn't  think he knew I existed so I was looking forward to a little mom/son time! 
So I had told him after they leave we could go. well 8 o'clock comes and goes, no biggie, he said between 8 and 9.
9:00 still not here, maybe just running late.
10:00 no one, no phone call , nothing . by now I am sick of wearing my bra , sick of trying to look busy so they don't show up and think "oh look, another fat ass stay at home mom playing farm ville"
11:00  still not here. the price is right is on now, but I am cleaning out the fridge( staying "busy ya know), figuring they will show up now that my kitchen is a mess with leftovers all over the counters.
12:00 , I have now missed the price is right, I am sweating, my bra is killing me , I' m hungry and my crops on farm ville are going to die!


Finally at 12:30 they show up, and they  go to work. No' I am sorry we are late' ' kiss my ass', or anything.
 They didn't even come to the door for another hour! . Then they  don't leave until 7 pm and then tell me they are not finished and will have to come back Monday!
Maybe what I need to do is tell them I will pay them on Monday but post date the check for Wednesday.






Oh about the goat, there where several explanations on how this may have got started, one was:  As early as the 1700s, goats were used as companion animals to help settle race horses, keeping the notoriously skittish animals relaxed. Taking a horse's pet goat away would have agitated and upset the animal, potentially influencing the outcome of a race.


Now doesn't that just take the cake?  Oh no, time to Google that one!........
